Jay Young, Award Winning Australian Artist.

I am a Mum of two little wild boys, simply trying to find a calm balance in a hectic world of never-ending laundry, bottomless tummies and invisible mess makers.

When I first became a Mum, I was quickly diagnosed with Post Natal Depression. I turned to teaching myself how to paint with watercolour which bought me back to me.

Since then, my art is a reminder to take quiet moments so I can feel grounded again and sooth my sometimes rattled soul. It is now one of my biggest pleasures sharing the same art that bought me so much peace with others too.

I encourage everyone who has a hectic lifestyle, or those who just want a reminder to look after themselves, to create a small pocket in their homes where they can sit quietly for a moment and simply breathe, a pocket of peace...
