Whispering Woodlands Inspiration

Whispering Woodlands Inspiration

If you are a Lover of Nature, adore Earthy Tones & crave those Cosy Vibes, these 'Whispering Woodlands' Artworks are for you!

I love all the seasons of the year, and winter is no different. I love those cosy nights snuggled up in my favourite blanket, sitting in front of the fire with a glass of red and burning my favourite candle of clove, cinnamon and cedarwood. I love the slower pace of this season with the sweet earthy scent filling the air and listening to the relaxing rhythm of the gentle rain.

Despite all it's positives, it's no new information that winter gets a pretty bad wrap from the general public. So, I decided to create a small collection to celebrate all the beauty that nature in winter has to offer, showcasing just how gorgeous and soul nurturing winter can really be in all its mystic glory.

It's no secret that I am a "boy mum" and I believe most parents with little children can agree with me, that keeping kids entertained can be a strenuous task. I often send the kids outside. We head to the forest and bush lands often so they can explore and be free in nature without the constraint of house rules or judging eyes. This winter has been no different.

We snuggle up in our winter woolies, pull on some gumboots and hiking shoes, and would go puddle hunting together. It's during these small adventures that I realised just how beautiful the forest are, especially in the rain. The mist hugs the trees and beams of light would break through the clouds every now and then, dancing between the branches.

I am living my dream 'Hygge' life of slow living. Where we enjoy the small and cosy moments that make my nose tingle in the cold, and warm my heart and soul listening to the sound of mother nature whispering a gentle breeze and showing off her beauty, keeping me calm and grounded.

These three paintings are created to bring the beauty of nature into your home, to bring you a cosy comfort and a sense of freedom with earthy muted greens and beams of light shining down through the forests.
